Recently, CMSmart published some first template for Virtuemart and Joomla, we received very good responses on our template concept, but we also understand that we lack of flexibility and advance template functions like admin panel control, responsive layout…So our plan to next big moving is to combine the powerful Gantry Framework with Virtuemart template design concept and our special Virtuemart extensions.

Personally we think this combination will bring the most benefits to our template clubs; for us, we see that there are Advantages and Disadvantages:

Advantages: We have better template framework to suite client demand, and we do not have to develop our own frameworks. Our main product is Virtuemart templates, so the design concept is around shopping website, not to initiative a completely new concept every time

Disadvantages: We have to do a complex work both for Virtuemart template and Gantry templates to mix the best combination and stylish design into 1 package. In some ways, more works have to be done than normal Joomla template developer.

Our team are working on some first templates and will release the first Gantry Virtuemart template packages on end of December. Stay tuned!
